This
MK.3C is a good early example of a Mk.3C / MK.2C conversion and has been taken
from our own collection. In the late 70`s and early 80`s remaining MK.2A helmets
that were in service or storage were converted to MK.3C configuration, this
meant removing the single spring loaded visor and with slight modification the
twin clear and tinted visor were fitted and the helmet was re-classified as a
MK.3C. On these early examples you can still see the holes on the helmet shell
where the large 2A visor was fitted. These helmets were a true marque and were
issued alongside the later issue Mk.3C. This example is New and Unissued
and is in pristine condition with an early pattern white inner harness,
Black 4-piece liner, new visors etc. Bench Tested & Working . Quite a
rare item in this , what we call `Museum Condition`.

Later pattern MK.3C in New and unissued condition, this helmet has also been taken from our collection and is a fine example of the 3C Helmet. This 3C has the later pattern Green inner harness but has an unusual Green & Black 4-piece liner. It differs from other 3C helmets as the internal harness is fitted with screw attachments as opposed to rivets. A few very minor handling marks to the shell but otherwise is in mint condition.
